Biography
Xingjie Peng received his Bachelor degree in physics from Jilin University in 2019 and earned his PhD in condensed matter physics at University of Chinese Academy of Sciences in 2026, working on the electron microscopic characterization of catalytic materials with Prof. Wu Zhou. His research is mainly focused on high-resolution in-situ electronic microscopy, which aims to study the atomic structural evolution of materials, especially catalysts, under working conditions via STEM imaging and spectroscopies in order to analyze the intrinsic evolving mechanisms and reveal the origin of functionality. He is currently a post doctoral researcher with Prof. Eva Olsson in the Faculty of Nano and Biophysics at Chalmers University of Technology.
