Biography

Born and raised in Kungshamn, Sweden. Gustav earned a Bachelors of Science in Chemical Engineering and Physics in 2016 and a Master of Science in Applied Physics in 2018 at Chalmers Technical University, Gothenburg. He is currently employed as a PhD student under supervision of Eva Olsson for electron microscopy studies of organic photovoltaic devices and thermoelectric systems.

Research Interests
  • Currently investigating organic photovoltaic devices and thermoelectric systems using advanced electron microscopy techniques, with the goal to increase efficiencies beyond today's state of the art.
  • Previous research focused on soft electron microscopy studies of lignocellulosic biomass in order to increase yield of sustainable biofuel, and studies of carbon-based nanofiber materials and their properties as anodes in lithium ion batteries.
  • Main techniques: SEM, ESEM, FIB-SEM, TEM and x-ray techniques such as EDX and soft x-ray emission spectroscopy (SXES).
